Hi! My name is Hannah Staab, and I am passionate about anything food or drink related. My interest in food started from a scientific perspective, I have always been fascinated by the connection between the food we eat and metabolic disease. I am now a PhD student studying Nutritional and Metabolic Biology, trying to uncover the role of diet in disease. My love for nutrition evolved into a broader interest in sustainability, food justice, and the culture related to food and drinks. I love that wine is a combination of my interests, with elements of science, agriculture, art, culture, and cuisine. When I am not doing research in the lab you can find me exploring New York City bars and restaurants, cooking, drawing, or playing/watching sports. I love learning about wine and exploring different grapes and regions, and I am currently working on my WSET2 certification.
