Florida native Melissa Leighty is a freelance writer and photographer currently based in Barcelona, Spain, where she has immersed herself in the cuisine and wines of her adopted homeland. She writes about small producer wine for local publications and is working on a book about Catalan wines while studying for her WSET level 3. When she’s not spending her time learning how to pronounce rare grape names like Gorgollassa, she’s usually in the kitchen cooking up a new recipe for her blog or chasing the sun on one of the Balearic islands.
