Nikki Dickerson

Hello wine lovers! I’m Nikki – a wine enthusiast turned wine professional. Though my professional background is in public relations and event planing, a fateful trip to the Southern Rhône Valley in 2017 changed everything. While sipping wine amongst barrels in a Châteauneuf-du-Pape winery cellar, I decided to take wine from passion to profession. I quit my job when I returned to California and moved to Paso Robles to work in the tasting room at my favorite boutique winery.

In the summer of 2018 I obtained my WSET 2 with Distinction. After the course, I was longing to experience the winemaking process firsthand. So I went to work as a harvest intern for the 2018 vintage in Paso Robles. Since then my love for wine has taken me to the other side of the world, literally. I recently finished working vintage in McLaren Vale, South Australia at a massive custom crush winery. After road-tripping through some of South Australia’s prominent wine regions and a brief stint at a Yarra Valley winery in Victoria, I’m headed back to America before my next big wine adventure kicks off.

Stay tuned on my blog at to see where I’m off to next. Plus check out my winery and wine region guides, food and wine pairing recipes, wine reviews, and more. Say hi on Instagram, too. (@palm.and.vine ) Cheers!
