“2018 was a very classic Haut Médoc vintage. This wine can be cellared for 20 – 25 years but why wait? Decant it for an hour or two and enjoy it now with cheese, meat, or pasta.”
– Vincent Fabre, Winemaker at Chateau La Tonnelle

WINEMAKER NOTES
We started picking at Chateau La Tonnelle in late September and continued for three weeks. First with Cabernet Sauvignon, then Merlot, and finally with Petit Verdot. All our grapes are picked by machine. By picking by machine, which is incredibly fast, we’re able to wait until the very last minute. Enabling us to pick at the perfect time and pick a fully mature grape.
Crop is destemmed. Vinification is completed in stainless steel vats and skin maceration lasts 3-4 weeks. This blend was created a the beginning of 2019, and was aged 1 year in barrel. This wine will pair beautifully now with cheese, meat, or pasta but it can be aged for 20 – 25 years.
