Vernatsch – or Schiava as it’s known by its Italian name – is having a moment, and this wine is a great example of why. Grown from older vines 600 meters above sea level that offer low yields of small berries, the result is a wine that is light, juicy, and both fruity and savory, and best served with a slight chill. This Vernatsch demonstrates the very best of mountain grapegrowing and winemaking, and is a must for thoughtful everyday drinking.
