Located approximately 1,800 feet in elevation in the North Eastern Hills above Napa Valley in the Howell Mountain Appellation. The Neal Family is a very well known & respected name. Made their roots back in 1968 when Jack Neal started a management company that farmed several hundred acres of vineyards in the valley.
At the age of 9, Jacks son Mark worked side by side with his father learning everything about viticulture. Mark took over the business after his dads passing in 1994 and decided to start producing their own wine in 1997. Production is very small and all made in their small cave winery. Popular and loved by many for his incredible Cabernets, he makes a killer Zinfandel blended with a tiny amount of Petite Sirah. His intuition, hard work, & dedication of perfecting quality wines comes thru every single bottle produced. 100% CCOF (certified organic) farmed, only the absolute best fruit is crushed & fermented. From that, a portion of the free run juice is allowed to be bottled under the Neal Family name. True to the integrity of his craftsmanship he will not allow any wine to be released until he knows with certainty the wine is ready to express its highest quality. Not at all interested in critics or scores, he insists his wines are of excellence & affordable so they can be enjoyed by wine lovers all over the world. Mark continues to keep it in the family passing down the traditions, knowledge, & dedication to his children. Keeping the integrity & legacy of Neal Family Wines alive for generations to come.

100% Rutherford Dust Vineyard fruit. Certified organic with 93% Zinfandel & 7% Petite Sarah co-fermented. Barrel aged 15 months in 40% new Hungarian 500 L puncheons. Only 1700 cases produced. Big, rich & beautiful showing blackberry, licorice, molasses & a touch of pepper on a nice, long finish. Yum!
